one of my favorite hobbies is watching movies on my tv at home, by myself. i've been known to watch up to 3 movies in a day. i know, it's scary. something else i love doing after watching a movie is going to imdb.com and looking it up and reading about all the trivia and actors, etc. it's especially fun when there's an actor in the movie that i totally recognize from somewhere else but can't remember where. all i have to do is type up the movie name and find the actor, and i'll be able to tell where i know him/her from. it's great fun, even if a little dorky.
for example - did you know that the guy who plays ronny (bobby drake/iceman's mutant-hating younger brother) in x2, is the same guy who played sebastien (amanda bynes' twin brother) in she's the man?

i've spent many hours browsing this site. it has videos on everything i've ever had any interest in. bsb, anne of green gables, roswell, lord of the rings and the oh-so-handsome orlando/legolas, and most recently, north and south. i especially like watching fan-made music videos of movies i've just watched. it's the 2nd step after going to imdb.com. :)

i love the ann arbor library. although i have a special soft spot for the west bloomfield library, since that is really my home town, the ann arbor library probably has a ton more resources. the nice thing about the website is that you can search for anything, and put a hold on something if it's currently checked out by someone else. then when it's ready, they send you a nice convenient email.

now that i live alone, i don't subscribe to the sunday papers. so i don't get all the fun store ads that i used to love going through with my mom every sunday afternoon. but this website has links to all the store ads! i usually will look at kohl's (for clothes), best buy (for cheap dvds) and target (for pretty much anything).

i know, kinda generic, but i always visit the front page of yahoo.com for headline news and gossip and weather. it makes me feel connected to the world, since i don't have tv and don't get any newspapers. yahoo.com is why i knew all about american idol this season, even though i never watched it!

not only is this great for getting directions, but you can also look up businesses. for example, if you want to see what restaurants are in a certain area, you just type 'restaurant' or 'pizza place' and the name of the city or address, and you get a whole list sorted by distance. you can also make your own trip maps, if you're going on a road trip with several stops. i did that when i drove to timber wolf and then chicago and back. it was very helpful!

it's an extremely convenient way to send very large files over email. the downside is that you only have 7 days to get the file, after that the link is expired. but it has worked very well and i have no complaints! i highly recommend it to anyone needing to send large attachments over the web.

this site hast been really useful when i'm doing research on buying anything electronic. i used it when i bought my digital camera, mp3 player, flat screen tv, dvd player, etc. you can look up anything and they show you how much it costs at all the online stores, so you can compare prices and read expert as well as consumer reviews on every product. very easy to use and helpful!

someone recommended this site to me and it has proven to be successful. i found a flight to LA for $200! (it ended up being more than that with taxes and fees.) you can just type in the city from which you depart, and they show you all the flight deals available that day.
