write a book?
i've been giving this some more serious thought these days, and i really do think i would like to write a book. i'm not really sure what this book would be about, but it would probably be something like a memoir. obviously, my material will stem from the 5,000 pages of journals that i've written over the past ten years. but i think i am waiting for some kind of happy ending or breakthrough experience. i need to know where this is all leading... something tells me it's happening soon, but then again who knows? God's ways are mysterious.
any ideas for a book title?
the review

well, folks, the album is officially out. i think i've listened to it at least 15 times through already. mostly because it's on repeat at work! if you're considering getting the album, stop thinking and GO NOW! it's definitely worth $10.
the feel of the album is very different from what you'd expect on a backstreet boys album. there is a lot of live instruments, and their voices sound a lot more raw and less produced/synthesized. this features their vocal talent rather than the fancy drum beats or whatever else may have covered up what the boys are really about: singing!
another great thing about this album is that it covers a good variety of styles. there's the power ballads that they've mastered over the years: incomplete, crawling back to you, lose it all. then there's the fun pop bouncy stuff with a rock edge: just want you to know, climbing the walls. "weird world" is funky with cool piano and drum in the background, and "my beautiful woman" has some nice soul/jazzy stuff. "poster girl" makes you wanna sway back and forth and smile. "safest place to hide" is your typical love song, kind of reminds me of drowning... a little bit country but still very backstreet. siberia is okay, i think it needs to grow on me. then "never gone" is just a sweet song that kevin wrote for his dad who passed away many years ago. it's definitely meaningful if you've experienced losing a loved one.
so yeah, go buy the cd! :)
going to new york

torn
now that i've started a xanga, i don't know where to write! i suppose if i want people to actually read my entries, i'll have to post on xanga. but i feel somewhat attached to this blogspot. it has been through a lot with me. it was the original source of my sarcasm and wit, through my top ten lists! seriously, i've tried to come up with new ones and it seems as if i've lost all my sarcasm. sad... i dunno, maybe i have less reason to be sarcastic these days. that could be a good thing, or it could be that my life is just boring now. but, it really isn't boring. there's a lot of stuff going on! i suppose if you really want to know, though, you wouldn't be here reading my blog. you'd be talking to me in person!
when i find a way to balance my xanga and blogger lives, i will let you know. in the mean time, i'll just be awkwardly and uncomfortably jumping back and forth.
