she picked RYAN!!!!

i'm definitely happy that the bachelorette and joe millionaire turned out the way i wanted them to. hehe, maybe they just wanted good ratings for the post-show stuff. anyway... i definitely liked ryan over charlie, although they were both good picks i suppose. better than any i've seen lately. haha... okay -- maybe i should stop watching reality tv and work on my own life. not in the romance department though. wait a minute, there is no romance department... what was i thinking? okay, well gotta go. byeeez. =)

spring break is in two days! WHOOHOO!

::plans::

watch Lord of the Rings (finally!)
watch Daredevil - maybe. i heard it wasn't too great. so we'll see.
go to Discipleship Praise Night
Alternative Spring Break
SHOPPING. [grin]

hmm... well, i guess i'll be kinda busy. but it sure beats being in ann arbor! =)

hope you guys have good spring breaks. for those of you who have spring break! hahaha...

GENESIS...

was great! why?

1. a weekend away from ann arbor!

2. i got to pray a lot, individually and corporately. that was really refreshing and inspiring. i have a renewed burden to pray for ccf, this campus... the world...

3. i have a better sense of what God wants me to be doing next year in ccf

4. i got to experience some sweet fellowship with my girls. and i'm so excited because we talked and prayed about starting a women's bible study at cbc this summer. it's not for sure but the possibility of it makes me excited! if that doesn't happen, the four of us might start our own small group bible study. that would be way cool. i'm amazed at how God has been so merciful to us... praise God!

5. i didn't have to walk outside in the cold for two whole days! hotels are nice =)

6. TOTAL LOGISTIC CONTROL! --> isn't this just so me? if only dave hadn't thought of it first. we saw the truck on the way back, and that definitely was a highlight of the weekend. we were cracking up like crazy! okay, you had to be there. doesn't seem quite as funny now. oh well.

okay, i ran out of things to say. i woke up at 8:30 this morning to finish some work, because i did nothing over the weekend! i have a feeling i will be very tired later this afternoon. -_- anyway, i'm out for now. see ya!

2.14.2003

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

psshh. whatever. haha, valentine's day mean's nothing. NOTHING! [GRIN]. okay, that's all for now. bye byee!

2.12.2003

i smell like mongolian barbecue....

thanks to my buddies who came to support us. we ended up making a lot of money in tips, which was pretty cool cuz the two guest griller groups that came the past two nights didn't make that much. it must have been my good looks or something. =)

just kidding.

i didn't really get to cook much. i think those guys must have thought oh, there's a little asian girl. she can't handle the big grilling swords, let's just let her pour the food onto the grill. humph! that's ok though... i guess.

for some reason this asb experience has been a lot different from how i expected...

the lesson of the week is how to love people... being compassionate, and showing sincere kindness to all people... even people we don't know as well or people who are different from us. i guess i should be applying that here. i think i just expect people to be friendly and social, because in my experiences at uofm, that's how most ppl are. especially since i've interacted mostly with people in fellowships... but, i'm having a hard time talk to my team members. it's just a whole different world. anyway, i'm hoping something good will come from this experience. God always has his reasons. i just have to do what i'm supposed to do, and let him take care of everything.

anyway, i think i'll watch the bachelorette tonight. don't really feel like doing any work. ok byee!

i hate how weekends fly by unsuspected. and what did i accomplish this weekend?

1. my paper due tuesday.

is that all? really? gosh, how sad. granted, i did do parts of many other things. this whole internship thing has started stressing me out. i started working on my resume. yes, started. i am way behind all you overachievers out there. but, at least i started right? i copied most of my old one... but i don't have the mental capacity at the moment to finish it up. cuz once that's done, then i really have to work at applying and stuff. boo. i don't really feel like doing that. can't i just get a job without trying? please?

hmm, i also started research for my research paper outline that's due next monday. and i read a chapter for dev. psych. and started studying some for my org psych exam that's on wednesday. hey, i guess i wasn't as unproductive as i thought. not bad for forgetting my black pen when i went out today to study.

i found out today that ben ng listens to backstreet boys' millennium way more than i do. hey ben, that's cool. no need to be embarrassed. at least you're honest and admit that you like them. unlike everyone else in the world who actually does like them but is too chicken to say so. =) that's right, i am LOYAL.

whoa, i am being way random right now. it's not even 11. maybe i should just go to bed. or i could babble some more for the 10+/- stalkers out there. (i calculated that that's about how many daily readers i get...)

spring break is in two weeks?! and i have not a clue what is going on with my asb team. it's kind of weird. i mean, i've been expecting things to kick it up a notch since it's so close by. but i'm just always confused. this is why i like to be in charge. cuz if things are done my way, people always are in the know. i think one of my pet peeves is when things are badly organized and badly communicated. i hope i pass the torch onto someone who can handle that next year for ccf.

speaking of ccf ... i've been doing a lot of thinking in regards to how i should be involved next year. i have decided to step down from core. but i know i still desire to do something. in sunday school today, though, i realized that perhaps my heart isn't 100% pure... and i need to reevaluate WHY i wanna serve. it's selfish of me to just think of what will make me happy and satisfied, and not think about what GOD wants of me. i know, that just sounds so simple. it's the simple things that we so easily forget, isn't it? anyway, i need to be praying about that, cuz that's actually something that's been adding to my stress these days. leadership selection is always a rough process.

hmm... i think that is enough for now. sleeping early sounds like a great plan tonight. i've been having headaches the past couple days. maybe that means i need more sleep. alright, well that's all for now. another castle conversation in the sky when i return.... hahaha... =)

my goodness, can jaci be any more beautiful?

march 25th, yeah baby! i'm so excited! i love when my favorite artists release new albums. it just makes me that much more happy. and believe me, i need happy now. =)

in other news... i just got back from watching "how to lose a guy in ten days" with jen, jenn, cindy (my future roomies!) and liz.

1. very cute movie. and funny too! did i tell you i love romantic comedies? oh wait, i think everyone knows that about me.

2. matthew mccounaughy - i just butchered the guy's name. but i love the southern accent! he's a cutie. =)

3. first movie i saw with kate hudson. she's pretty good.

4. i don't really think i NEEDED to know how to lose a guy in 10 days. i think i'm scary enough to lose one in less than that. although, there are none to be lost, so that makes it even less necessary.

5. overall though, a good rom-com, as my brother calls them. =) two thumbs up from the rom-com gal. i was disappointed in "two weeks notice", so this one restores my faith in my favorite movie genre.

6. what a nice way to end such a stressful week. okay, well basically thursday was stressful. but, it was enough to make it seem like the whole week was stressful. and to watch with some very lovely ladies, that was even better.

hmm... ok i think i'm done for now. i had some random things i wanted to write but i'm going blank now. oh well. okay, i'm outtie! thank God the weekend is here.

2.03.2003

i had a pretty nice weekend. saturday entailed eating and movies with the family. that was fun. i definitely miss chinese food. =)

question of the day: is it possible to get sore from bowling for two hours?
answer: shamefully, yes.

i keep forgetting that my church ppl back home haven't seen my haircut! it was kinda fun getting compliments though, six weeks after i had it done. i think it might actually look better now, cuz it's a little longer and easier to style.

i watched "the wedding planner" last night, and i decided that my number 7 dream job is to be a wedding planner. it's so perfect for me! why? 1. because i like to plan things. 2. i love weddings. 3. it incorporates all the things i love: fashion, decoration, style, music, food, cards/invitations, flowers... everything! (it's number 7 because i have a lot of other dream jobs. check out my website for the skinny.)

today i saw my eLLe girls, which these days comes so rare but is always enjoyable. we didn't get to talk too much, unfortunately. but that's okay, because i'm seeing them all again in two weeks at the Genesis retreat! yay! i love those girls. it hit me during sunday school as we were all sitting in fred's class... God has totally been gracious to the four of us throughout our rocky friendship. here we are, nearly eight years later... still friends, the best of friends. AND, we're all actively serving in our fellowships; we're still devoted to deepening our relationship with God first and foremost. it's just awesome how God has provided and blessed all four of us individually and as a group. i probably don't thank God enough for that. thanks God!

alright, it's midnight. i'm gonna go to bed before i turn into a pumpkin! g'nite!
