so, on wednesday i was at lindsay's house after coming back from a trip to lansing with her and joyce. and we were sitting at her table in the kitchen when joyce and lindsay decide that NOW was the time to go through the calendar and write down the birthdays of EVERY person they knew. i sat there watching and listening to them do this very random activity, and once in a while i'd have a person's birthday to mention... but mostly, i just reminded them of january 9, january 28, february 20, august 22 (TODAY!) and october 3. whose birthdays are these might you ask? if you can guess you get a prize (or maybe just the satisfaction of realizing how weird we really are). we deemed these birthdays so important they were on their complete birthday lists...

so, happy birthday mystery person #4. you're another year old today and joyce, lindsay and i are celebrating with you!

whoa! i have faithful readers? who knew? thanks for being so bored that you would consider this blog read-worthy. maybe i'll try to update a little more often... God knows i have the TIME.

anyway, you know what i realized? my birthday is coming up in one month and four days! 22 is not exactly an exciting age... it's so anticlimatic, especially after having a blast as a 21-year-old. yes, people, laura michelle li went absolutely wild this year. [note the sarcasm in my tone.] but yeah, back to my birthday... i think it's gonna be quite boring. it's on a wednesday, so i won't get to party or do anything cool... i'm guessing it'll just be a quiet evening... sad huh? however, i am in the process of writing another top ten list for birthday gifts, because last year it was so successful! i got maybe... 7 things on the list. the other three, i think i ended buying them for myself. hehe... but, yeah - this way, i'll get what i want, and make it easy on all you nice folks out there who plan on getting me a gift. [GRIN].

i know i know, these days it's not about the gifts. it's about spending the day with people you love. but, since i probably won't be doing that since all my friends are all over the country now, i may as well plug the gift list. hehe...

i hope you guys don't read this entry and think i'm a greedy selfish person. i'm not! i'm babbling about meaningless things because that's what blogs are for right?

i did something today that i've never done before... i surfed the xanga realm. i must say it was quite enlightening... and i realized that i have definitely been out of the loop. for a while i was beginning to wonder if i was really that much of a loser that no one wanted to keep in touch with me. but now i understand, it's because people are connected at the hip with their new shiny laptops and high-speed internet access! that's okay... i think i can survive without those things. but, for about three seconds i did consider caving in and starting a xanga. that ended quickly when i realized that i already waste a lot of time as it is. so, i suppose i will continue to have my small group of friends, because that's all i have the energy for. for everyone else, i'll do my bi-annual xanga surf.

hello to everyone who's still out there, and thank you for being bored enough to read my blog. just to keep you all updated on my life, i'm still unemployed. haha, i bet you figured that though. hmm... i've been enjoying my time at home though... although once in a while i feel that it is too much. i need to get out more... anyone wanna fly me somewhere? i totally would except i have no money whatsoever. :Þ i'll gladly take donations though! :) hmm... okay well i really have nothing to say because the things going on in my life are a SECRET! c'mon, do i ever really talk about my life here?

oh, for your information, i've seen spider-man 2 in the theaters THREE times. a record for me... the only movies i've seen more than once at the theater were tarzan and titanic. haha... yeah anyway, i think i've had an overload of spider-man cuz i dreamt about it last night! yikes! so if you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely go watch it, cuz i already beat you to it THREE times! :)
