thanks everyone for making my birthday so enjoyable! i love you all! *muah!

i got half the things on my list! INCLUDING a football ticket from my roommate jenn! yayyy! i'm excited to finally go to my first (and last) michigan football game ever.

i also got a very very COOL digital camera from my parents. can't wait to start using it!

most of all, i had fun because all my friends and family made me feel especially loved. heehee... thanks again to everyone who made my birthday a good one.

two weeks til i turn twenty-one!

stumped about what to get me? here, i'll help you out... heehee :)

top ten gifts to get laura for her birthday:

10. a good worship mix/cd (this one you can make for free, so for all you poor ppl... don't fret! hehe)

9. trading spaces merchandise (preferably the how-to book!)

8. a sports bag (it'll give me incentive to go work out...maybe)

7. the new ZOEgirl cd (coming out sept. 16th)

6. a denim jacket

5. a subscription to a scrapbooking magazine

4. a paper trimmer (for scrapbooking. but i think my sis is already getting this for me... not sure though...)

3. pajama pants! (not flannel, the thin kind!)

2. new sunglasses (i lost mine. but i want the kind that's blue or purple tint, you know w/o frames...? )

1. a football game ticket! it's my goal to get to a michigan football game this season, cuz i haven't been to one yet! so, if anyone isn't going to a game... i'll gladly take the ticket! heck i'll even pay for this bday gift. but of course, if you want to GIVE your ticket to me, i would be oh so very much appreciative. heehee...

okie dokie... that's my list. :) i'm only half serious about some of them. and yeah... it's really not about getting gifts anymore. hello, i'm gonna be 21! that's old! mostly i'll just look forward to spending the day with my friends and family. i can't believe it's coming so soon!

top ten boy bands of the late 1990s.

due to the fact that there were WAY too many boy bands, i had to group them into categories...

10. nsync. hmm... so i didn't really want to keep them on the list. but... i suppose they are a boy band of the late 90s. and, their real name should be justin timberlake. wait... i think it is. hmm...

9. youngstown, no authority, the moffatts, and take 5. yeah, i've never heard of them either. although joyce says no authority has this song that goes "can i get your number baby, hit me with the seven digits." uhhh... yeah.

8. 2gether. okay, so that calculus song was actually decent... minus the words. and, yeah... i must admit they did a good job making fun of every stereotype about boy bands.

7. LFO yeah, it's a good thing they went by lfo instead of "lyte funkie ones". oh please. during their 2nd album (was there a second album?) one of the guys (who knows their names?) was starting to look a lot like kevin. hmm....

6. 5ive, westlife, boyzone. the british boy bands with too many blond guys. don't they know the formula? only ONE blond boy per band! these guys should all be renamed "spice boys".

5. otown. confession: i was addicted to making the band! aaghh! but what's annoying is none of the guys were really good singers except dan, who was initally CUT from the show in the first or second episode! how stupid. shows what lou pearlman knows...

4. hanson. mmmmbop! okay, these guys are actually talented. and i like their music. their only downfall is that they looked like girls. did you know that taylor hanson is married?! anyway, these guys really brought back teen bop after a few decades of 80s metal and grunge stuff... so much props to them.

3. bbmak. aww, they're cute! and they got the one blond per band quota right. hehe... i like these guys. good music, good harmony. no cheesy outfits or dances.

2. 98º. have you seen newlyweds? i have so much more respect for nick, cuz jessica is a ditz! except maybe i don't respect him if he sees anything in her besides her beauty. anyway, these guys are cute (hmm, except justin. poor guy. but he has an awesome bass voice.) and they had some pretty good success. they would probably be the bronze medalists in the boy band of the late 90's category. (silver is that other boy band i mentioned up at #10... hehe...)

1. backstreet boys. do i need to even say anything about them? [GRIN]. hmm... yeah i feel like anything i say will just come out biased. even though iT"S THE TRUTH that they're the best! heehee... yes, i am still loyal. and yes, they are not doing anything together currently (so many ppl keep asking me!) but haven't "officially" broken up. how come no one asks what's up with nstink? oh, right, because they didn't notice that the four other silent members were missing from justin's solo act!

i think it's more fun to rip on nsync than tell you guys all the wonderful reasons why the backstreet boys are better. heehee...
