banana-haters have feelings too

this marks a very sad day in my life.

i just received a letter from Point of Grace - they email almost every week, and Terry wrote us saying that she is retiring from the group to be home with her family.

i am moved by how godly the whole group is being about this very drastic change. they have continued to seek God's calling on all of them to serve Him in the way that He has called. but i guess i'm just shocked that they would continue on without one of them, and even agree on replacing Terry.

point of grace will never be the same without Terry... but i guess i've been learning that what you feel is right isn't necessarily what God wants. just because things seem good, it may not be for the benefit of everyone, especially for the glory of God.

i trust that whatever Terry and the rest of the pog girls pursue in their future, God will bless them abundantly as He always has. and no matter what i'll always support them and be thankful for the way they've changed my life.

terry, we'll miss you greatly! may God bless you and your family. can't wait to see you one last time at the christmas concert! (that is, if i can go...)

top ten ways you know you're a ccf-er

(before anyone takes offense... if these don't apply to you and you're a ccf-er, you should thank God for making you so special!)

10. you're majoring in some kind of engineering, and/or your roommate is.

9. you suffer from at least one aim disease (sorry, i don't mean to beat a dead horse... i just ran out of ideas!).

8. you go to starbucks on south u regularly for accountability, discipleship, etc. and run into many other ccfers who are doing the same thing.

7. you sometimes forget what ccf stands for and call it chinese COOKING fellowship.

6. you cook for and/or eat at a potluck at least twice a month.

5. you have and/or read xangas/friendsters religiously.

4. watching friends is listed as one of your hobbies on friendster/xanga.

3. you loiter for at least half an hour in 1360 east hall after lg is over, 10 more minutes in the atrium, and 10-15 more minutes right outside east hall.

2. and afterwards, you hang out on south u - most frequently bubble island.

1. you visit algonquin at least twice a week (if you're one of the rare few that doesn't live there).

of course, the REAL #1 should be that you love God and you love the community God has given you! but, that's a give-in. and also a process. :)

aagh! i want it! hehe... well, of course, that would totally end my career as the reigning top ten lister. but... anyway... go check it out!
