banana-haters have feelings too

more excitement

i've retired my bsb cds for the next few weeks and replaced them with point of grace! their concert is in twelve days! it's so funny how pog and bsb seem to tour together... last time i saw both of them in concert they came in the same WEEK! crazy, but exciting! i guess since we've met point of grace many times it's not really as exciting, to be honest, but pog concerts are always amazing and i am always blown away at how talented and also how godly these women are. it'll be interesting to meet the new pog member, leigh, also... it's kind of sad that terry won't be there... i guess it's part of the reason i'm less excited. if the backstreet boys had changed or dropped a member i definitely would be less excited about their comeback... it just isn't the same ya know?

it's pretty interesting how you can feel so attached to groups of singers who you don't really know at all... but who have really had a big influence on your life. i was thinking about how as much as we try to know them we never really will... but then there's Jesus, who is readily available to be known and loved, and who also knows us personally and cares so much about us. do i attach myself to Him more than i attach myself to celebrities or other people? not always. and yet i know that He is the only One who can satisfy and fulfill whatever it is i'm trying to find with the other people. it's definitely a struggle to put Him first. i mean, if it's not bsb or pog, it's some other relationship or thing or idea. satan is constantly pulling us away from who we should be fixed on... tempting us with all these fleeting worldly desires. thanks be to the Lord for His grace in helping us when we struggle.
